Slide EcoCabins - craftsmanship with an eye for detail ABOUT

Mission

EcoCabins' mission is to build the home of the future. The problems of our time require us to rethink the way we live. One with less impact on the world around us. By combining innovative wooden homes into sustainable affordable neighborhoods and districts, EcoCabins offers a future-proof way of living for all.

Innovation

The residential neighborhood of the future is a residential neighborhood with negative CO2 emissions. Through our smart way of building, and a smart way of living, such a district extracts more CO2 from nature than it emits. EcoCabins collaborates specifically with Dutch technical universities, with the goal of further development into fully circular homes, which are sustainable during manufacture, sustainable in use and sustainable to recycle.

Get Social #TinyVilla

From December 12 to 16, 2019, the #TinyVilla was at the Masters of LXRY at the RAI in Amsterdam, for which we received the award for most sustainable booth.

Starting in March 2020, the #TinyVilla will be rented out through Basecamp IJmuiden.

Team

Jeroen Mason

Jeroen is the founder of EcoCabins. He is a recreational man at heart and was for many years the driving force behind the success of Camping de Lakens in Bloemendaal. Because of that experience, he knows better than anyone else what the wishes of vacationers are, the requirements of a recreational entrepreneur and that the development of sustainable, as much as possible self-sufficient small residential units is a great desire from end users.

Gertjan Hoffer

Gertjan has a background in business administration and is an experienced entrepreneur. He previously managed to successfully lead and (profitably) expand an investment fund from minimal turnover to approximately 20 participations in Dutch SMEs. Since 2018 he has focused entirely on the further development of EcoCabins, aiming to accelerate the development towards sustainable living, working and recreation.

Daniel Hoffer

With a background in International Relations, Daniel now throws himself fully into Tiny Houses after previous employment at a health insurance company and HR consultancy. Daniel is a true all-rounder who is mainly involved in marketing and business development at EcoCabins, but has also immersed himself in the further development and application of innovative techniques and installations in EcoCabins' tiny houses in order to contribute to making the housing market more sustainable, both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Erling Siebesma

Erling has been working in business development for many years with great passion and energy. During his studies, in 1998, he started working at ABN AMRO. Learning on the job, he completed his studies in the evenings, and started his career in Private Banking at ABN AMRO MeesPierson. He then moved on to raising capital for Private Equity Investments for SMEs. Gertjan and Erling have enjoyed working together since 2008. Since 2019, Erling has been a permanent part of the EcoCabins team.

Alex Meerkerk

Alex put his technical business studies into practice with various quality positions in the pharmaceutical industry. He also co-managed PUM, an international consulting organization for SMEs, for 10 years. There he was responsible for strategy, innovation, CSR and relations with various governments. With EcoCabins, Alex wants to make a direct contribution to making the housing market more sustainable and flexible while increasing the living enjoyment of residents of compact homes. Alex switches easily from helicopter view to practical implementation and his work at EcoCabins includes developing projects together with partners.
